Pam Haynam is running for County Commissioner because she believes Lucas County needs an experienced Republican voice in the Commissioners office. Pam has spent the last nine years serving Lucas County as a member of the Sylvania Board of Education. On the School Board, Pam has developed a record of being a strong fiscal watchdog and overseen annual budgets exceeding 90 million dollars. She has served as Board President and Vice President; and served on both the Finance and Policy committees. Pam has consistently been a strong independent voice for good government at a reasonable cost to the taxpayers. Pam will carry her principles of pursuing excellence in government and her fiscal watchdog eye to county government.

Pam is the most qualified candidate for County Commissioner. Pam grew up in a working family and her father (a retired cement mason) and mother (a retired store clerk) live near her and her family in Sylvania. Pam was the first in her family to go to college where she earned her degree in Systems Analysis (computers) and then went on to the University of Toledo to get a Masters in Business Administration in Finance. Pam has 28 years of practical business experience. She currently owns her own computer consulting business. She has worked for and her current clients are Toledo’s Fortune 500 companies.

Pam is dedicated to serving Lucas County. In addition to serving nine years on the Sylvania School Board, she is a member of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments and is a member of the Sylvania Community Improvement Corporation and Chamber of Commerce. She has been a member of Sylvania Area Joint Recreation District Board, a member of the Sylvania Community Action Team Board, the Sylvania Community Services Board and has been the Co-Chair of the 24 Hour Relay Challenge. Pam is an active member of her Church, where she teaches adult Sunday School and was a leader in a recent Forty Days of Purpose campaign. Pam was awarded the Sylvania Schools Educator of the Year Award for Community Volunteerism, and has served as PTA President of her children’s elementary school, and was a former Boy Scout leader and committee chair, and a former Girl Scout leader.

Pam and her husband, Doug, have been married for 28 years. They have three children, ages 21, 18 and 15.

Pam will bring her experience, training and values to serve you as your Lucas County Commissioner. Vote for Pam Haynam for Lucas County Commissioner Tuesday May 2nd on the Republican Primary Ballot.
